Hey!
This is fun, I like all the art. There's some new stuff I haven't seen before too!
Nice to see you on Newgrounds!

No...
This just wasn't fun. I wanted to try to keep going, and I did for a while, but it's just frustrating. The badges made me laugh, too. I can't get through one screen without dying at least 10 times, let alone 25 screens, or the whole fuxing game.
I liked the graphics, and the music was enjoyable, which made me bump the score up from the 6 I was going to give it. But honestly it's like playing a mouse avider or some messed up NES game that doesn't want you to win at all costs. I understand that a challenge can be fun, but this just wasn't satisfying in the way a good challenge is. I felt more like I was just lucky to survive each obstacle.
The control scheme was incredibly slippery too, which might have been my problem with it. It's like a platformer full of pixel perfect jumps
Anyway, I understand that some people might enjoy this sort of self torture, but I didn't at all.
Alright
It was a little preachy at the end, though I did play all the way through. I never would have finished without the walkthrough, because some of the game mechanics (like finding the pen in the guys pocket and clicking the TV screen at the right time just to progress the events) were a bit cheap. I didn't like how moving between screens worked, too. I found it a bit disorienting.
The graphics were alright, and the story was well thought out. The voice acting was rather good too.
LOL
That was so unexpected!
lol what the heck how did you get here? you've been one of my inspirations since the release of shen long =D!
still waiting for that mouse platformer you started 2 years ago =P
Nice Game
I played all the way through, par and bonus on everything. Simple and well executed. A nice new take on what seems to be an emerging genre.
Different
It's fun to see a game like this. It has a fresh new concept and the lore was interesting to read.
The gameplay itself was alright, though the platforming and collision detection was a little strange. I know the graphics were supposed to feel retro, but it felt a lot more like I was playing a game in MSPaint because it was just flat colors. Most of the graphics in the castle were nice though, that felt a lot more like a classic pixelized game.
Fun!
This is a pretty good game; I had fun for a while. The robots look like crabs, lol. I liked the upgrades and the different robots. I didn't like the last level (or I think it was the last level) because the ship was in the way of everything, and there was a game over after I killed it by accident, which sucked. I would have liked to try it again.
Thanks for good review - game should have saved your progress, so feel free to try this level! And this is not the last level BTW, it is approximately the middle of the game.
Pretty fun!
I really enjoyed playing this game through the easy levels. I didn't play further, but I could see myself coming back. The graphics and music worked nicely, though the screaming blobs seemed a bit overdone; I wasn't tearing them to shreds, they were just falling into the water haha!
Overall a nice little game.
Naw
Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but it's just too much. The days of Contra et all are thankfully over, let's not revisit them...
