Was pree good. I enjoyed it for a time. It got a little grindy, though.

Very Clever!
Never seen anything quite like this. Nice work!
Mildly entertaining...
Wasn't terrible, wasn't amazing. I didn't love the music. The graphics were okay. Honestly, it was pretty middle of the road to me. I did finish, though, so it held me for a few minutes.
Hmmm...
Well, it was kinda fun until I got to the area with the upside-down pyramid and it got really tedious. The controls weren't all that great either. Kinda slippery.
Rather Fun!
I haven't finished it, but this game is really fun. I'm sure I'll come back to it. The bosses are a bit crazy, but I've been able to beat them after a try or two so no problem so far.
It reminds me a bit of cave story.
The only thing that was a little meh is the level design is a bit clunky in places, but it's forgivable because the controls are very good and the enemies aren't too clustered to make it unpassable.
Depressing...
All of the journal entries in this game make it kinda personal. You don't want people to die, but then they do. I lasted 72 days before the end, and most of the time it was a struggle.
Towards the end I noticed that half my town would disappear before the zombie attack screen came up, so I could predict the outcome, lol. Aside from that the game seemed pretty solid. The graphics could have been better, but they worked.
I'm not sure I'd play again, but it was worth the once through.
Truely horrible...
I didn't get very far. The game told me to persevere, and that's when I realized you actually knew how bad the levels were. So, I stopped giving you the benefit of the doubt and decided you were just being lazy about it.
The art was also pretty horrible. By retro, you must have been referring to Pong. In seems like calling something retro is just an excuse to use boxes for art these days. Now, there are some retro-styled games that look very nice, like cave story, but this one didn't at all. It wasn't retro, it was just bad.
I would give you more points for the mechanics of the game, but you used Flixel, so there isn't much you actually had to do. I'm guessing you probably made this game in a day and decided to throw it up on Newgrounds. There's nothing wrong with that if the game is any good, but this just seems like a bad practice piece, and that's not really worth playing.
Really bad...
This game has terrible controls, sloppy hittesting, and rather poor art. In spite of that, it kept me playing for a few levels until I wanted to scream at the little stick dude for not doing what I told him to do. Vexation is a good name, but sadly that's about the only thing good about this game.
Pree good
You know, it was pretty fun, even though it was really just a more interactive version of doodle god. I thought the crafting part was really tedious. I can't see much value in putting items in the exact spot just to get a new one. It would have been way better to just click on a recipe to get a new item, honestly.
The platforming was pretty fun, I enjoyed swimming around and it felt rewarding to be able to get far down and gather big ticket items.
I never built a building and I didn't see much point to it, and I just used dying as a teleportation mechanic. Also, the tutorial was a bit overwhelming. I just kind of skimmed it then dove in and was confused for a while. I think the game presents too much at once, which could be a turn off. I stuck it out because I liked the platforming and after playing a while I realized what to do and had fun. Then I got annoyed by all the clicking and just wanted to see the ending (which wasn't really worth it, but meh, it's a flash game).
Overall, I'd say it's decent, but the overall design is a bit shaky and probably would have benefited from some restructuring.
