Nice job.

This is pretty fun. I thought it would be terrible, but it really wasn't. I think a better way of deciding points would be how many stars you use, though, because otherwise it's just testing how fast you can wave your mouse around, you know?

Anyway, good job.

Fair point, but I figured that if people use more stars, they take more time and therefore earn fewer points anyway. Thanks for the support :)

Meh...

It's alright, but totally repetative, and it gets too fast to use the strategy element almost right away.

I agree with you about the strategy going away at some point. I have a few things I am trying to take care of that and still make it challenging.

Fun!

This was pretty fun, and it was kind of reminiscent of Chrono Trigger, which was one of my most favorite RPGs of all time.

However, after the fight with the slug I was going to the save point and the whole flash went white. Then my computer locked up and I had to restart. I'm assuming the bug happened when it was trying to go into a random battle sequence and it hit an infinite loop.

It would be more fun without the ball...

To be honest, I think it would be more fun if there wasn't a ball to worry about. I don't know if it was just me, but I found it next to impossible to aim, and it was too much to think about for something so fast paced.

Maybe you could add a free fight option to the game where you just fly around and fight people?

A good start.

I really like the concept, it has the same sort of feel as that Snowball Jo game, but it's faster. It feels really cool to play.

Like the others said, you need to work out the glitches. If you are using the hittest method for collision detection and want some help with it I can take a look at it. I'm working on my own platformer at the moment, so I might be able to point out the same problems I ran into. Physics can be a real pain in the butt...

Yeah, the glitches aren't good at all. I know of, like, 4 - faze through ground unable to move, fall through (small platforms) at high velocities, the vertical-scrolling pulled through side, and the (in the later levels), the missing stats glitch. Maybe I could need a little help... I want to see a preview of your game first. PM me.
