Haha, this is so weird it's perfect! The levels are a little hard for my taste, but I could see myself coming back to it.

TheMillz responds:

I hope you do, there is more story after the 3 gameplay levels

Eh, I made it to level 4, lol. I think I understand why the tankmen are all so cynical now.

io3creations responds:

It's a tough world!

Maaan, this game is buggy as hell. I deducted a full star for that. I had to hit the action key about 11 times and reposition a bunch before it actually did something. Makes it rather hard to know what to do. I still finished the game, but it ended up making me run around quite a bit for no reason.

The story is kinda stupid but it's just a tech demo, so I can forgive that. ^^ The graphics were pretty bad, too, but overall it kept me playing somehow. This is probably the lowest I've ever rated a game I bothered to finish... I don't feel justified giving more stars though, haha. You have a good framework here for a better game, and you hinted you were making one when I did your blue key Easter egg thing. Make sure to fix the bug with the action key, though. It really was a pain in the arse... Also, always be sure to tell people the controls at the beginning of the game. Just a protip from a fellow designer. You'll get flamed less. XD

kcnh responds:

Thank you for your review, I'll use your advice for my next game. :)

This is pretty cool. ^^ I'm sure I'll keep coming back to it. I feel pretty lost at the moment, but it seems like I'm moving towards something, so that should be fine, lol. This game has such a retro feel to it. Something about how quick all the movements are, I think. I'm glad you're pretty forging with the save points and stuff, though. I think I would have ragequit pretty quick, otherwise. XD

Hypnohustler responds:

Thanks! And good to hear, remember to drink beer if you get into a hard spot. Beefs you up nicely :)

Nothing new, kinda cute, made me ragequit, lol.

TheSpydog responds:

Ha, well thanks for playing anyway!

Lol, this game is really bizarre. I was having a lot of fun until the sudden death level. Then I quit because it was impossible. XD

Srsly, though, Mr. T drives you from level to level where you run around reversing gravity and avoiding deadly soccer balls. Where does an idea like that even come from?

MonkeyBusiness responds:

Its not a deadly soccer ball. Its the moon, and it was out for blood.

Yeah, I can't get past level 8... While the game seems promising, the camera is kind of terrible, and the difficulty seemed to ramp up pretty quick. I think it can be this difficult later, I just didn't feel like I got very far into the game before it was like a wall.

Kudos on making a 3D flash game that actually runs on my computer too. Were you using constrained mode with stage 3D or is this all on my CPU?

Invenis responds:

It should be running on GPU. We'll tweak the difficulty ;)

The game seems pretty well made, but the level design isn't very fun.

The enemies are never positioned in a place where you can shoot them with more than one shot at a time. This would be fine except ALL enemies need a large number of shots, so it ends up being very grindy. Jump, shoot, wait...jump, shoot, wait...

The platforming engine is functional, but the level design is very blocky, so it just ends up being a means to get around rather than being a fun experience moving and dodging obstacles.

In a way, the game is very polished and well made, but it really needs more thought on the gameplay itself. You made a good engine, but neglected the level design.

Comacolors responds:

I really appreciate your feedback, and the fact that you awarded such a high score even though you didn't really enjoy my game that much.

Looking at your comment I'm worried the weapon might not be firing at a proper rate for you. It should fire in very rapid succession when you rapidly tap the fire button. Did you notice a lot of lag when you were playing?

As for the level design, I think I see where you're coming from. Do you mean that the levels feel way too cramped and you didn't get the sense of fast paced progress you would get in a much larger, more open level? If so my feeling is you might not enjoy any games from my Ghost Light series, but the games I have planned after them could definitely be more your style.

Please don't take that as me being butthurt and telling you to go play something else, I'm really grateful that you stuck it out and took the time to comment. It's just that the level design and overall gameplay style in this game is very deliberate, and I'm planning on keeping the core elements of it for part two, though that's not to say that I won't be working to refine my approach.

Anyway thank you again for playing and for the feedback, I hope in the future I make something you enjoy a little more.

I just don't think this is a very good idea for a game. It seems kinda like a memory game, but the only way to know where anything is, is to keep making mistakes.

Zapxo responds:

...and getting frustrated!

This is just a terrible idea for a game... Sorry, but I didn't like it at all.

VascoF responds:

No problem, not everybody has to like it :)
