Laggy But Fun

I played all the way through a skirmish. Fun game, I enjoyed it. It lagged horribly near the end, but that might just be my comp.

Lol pretty funny.

It was a fun idea, and I liked the references (they made it pretty obvious you're a far-left liberal, though. Democrat: the game - Mario was from a socialist country, you could be too!)

Anyway, most of it was just an interactive cut-scene with punchlines, and when there actually was game play it wasn't well made (the asteroids remake being the one exception). So while I did get a chuckle out of it, committing suicide over an over again really doesn't make me want to hit any button above the 3.

Darn. I tried to make any political stance this game has completely obscure. I hoped that :the game: wouldn't seem blatantly liberal, which is why medicare and Al Gore were made the butt end of jokes here.

And, I had no idea Mario was from a socialist country...

Eh was alright.

Reminds me of my game Blue (only better because it was simpler :P). It's a nice concept but it got a little dull after a few puzzles. It was oddly laggy for me, even though it didn't seem like it should be. I didn't take any points off for that though, as it didn't hamper game play.

Fun!

Nice work, I loved the graphics and sounds! Very sparkily. :3

Eh, was alright.

Not bad. Nice attempt on the graphics, even though it was sticks it still had some good animation. The level graphics were functional. The platforming was pretty loose and the collision detection wasn't outstanding, but it worked well enough and served it's purpose (which is a lot better than most platforming flashes you see). The battle system seemed a little off (the enemy never seemed to get a punch in). I didn't feel the desire to play past the first boss, so it didn't enthrall me.

Anyway, it reminds me a lot of my first platformer (Quickling) and I can see a lot of potential for growth here. For the most part, I think you can work on polishing a bit more to make the game feel more solid. It'll be interesting to see what you're working on a year from now.

Overall, it's a solid 7.

Ugh

Menu RPGs are the most stripped down barebones versions of RPGs there are, and this one finds a way to make it even more dull and minimal. What happened to RPGs having storylines and worlds to explore. This doesn't even have combat animations. I've had more fun using my calculator in math class.

It seemed pretty well made, so at least you spent time working on the menus (and that's why I didn't go too low with the rating), but an RPG like this is like a platformer with one level and one enemy that just keeps repeating over and over. It doesn't matter how well made that level is, it's going to be boring pretty quick.

Please, if you plan to make another RPG, go play a few like Chrono Trigger or Secret of Evermore, and you'll get an idea of what an RPG should be like. This is really nothing more than a glorified stat calculator.

Was OK

Reminded me of my Space Surfer game from Extreme Particle Suite. :3 It wasn't really all that interesting, though. It might be fun if it was faster and more stuff was going on, kinda like that Doeo game. I played for 2 songs, just because I liked the songs. It just sort of drifted through. Maybe I was lagging? It didn't seem like it.

Eh, was alright.

It wasn't bad, but the fact that you could only click things when they were relevant was a bad decision. For example, I tried clicking on the fruit and it didn't do anything, so I assumed it never would. I had to look at the walk-through to figure it out. The puzzles didn't seem to make much sense either.

The drawing was alright, and I can see you took a lot of inspiration from The Visitor (the kitchen scene especially). I don't think is was as well executed though (pun?).

Pretty good

I played until the first boss but then I just got frustrated. The controls weren't very responsive which made the gameplay hard to manage. On the little guys, this isn't as bad, but when I felt like I needed to be really tactical, I didn't have the control I needed. Also, the red screen thing at the end of each section annoyed me pretty quickly.

Overall a pretty good game though, and a nice new concept. I'd like to see a sequel with the controls more refined, then I might play longer.

Very Well Made

This is just a great game! Nothing more need be said.
