I can just imagine seeing that through mist. I bet it was really ghostly. Did you do rotoscoping or was it all freehand?
You got the music from FreeplayMusic.com, didn't you? I used to browse on there for hours and now I hear those songs all over the place like TV commercials and stuff, it's really weird. I used to use their songs in my games till they changed the contract... :C
I did use rotoscoping in places, I filmed the leading man moving through some of the positions, but in a lot of cases I could only trace key frames and then I'd have to inbetween it freehand to keep the drawings lining up and looking correct. It's hard to make rotoscoping work and not look like badly traced video footage.

This was actually once of my favorite scenes in the matrix movies. :3 Maybe you have to be internally conflicted and existential to enjoy it. When I was little the first matrix was my favorite and I hated the other two, but now I like the 2nd and 3rd better. Kinda weird...
Well, maybe it reminded you of HOTM since Neo does appear in that, and my Neo impersonation hasn't really changed since then. Can't imagine how it could, though, Neo just has a super unenthusiastic voice. The original scene was okay in the movie, but it was overly talky. He just goes on and on about causality and gives some random chick orgasm cake. It's a little odd is all. Thanks for watching!

It was cool, but it was just a bunch of doodling for most of it. I liked the very beginning where the first few things moved around and kind of morphed at the same time with the water drying. :3
Yeah it was pretty much just random shiz. We just switched off an said, "You got anything you wanna do or try?" and just doodled.

The writing really carried this through, and I actually watched the whole thing. The backgrounds were pretty nice too. It's main downfall was the rather inconsistent graphic/sound quality (ZOMG I just read that you're going to explode now... :3). I seriously think if you tightened up the graphics a bit this would be loved by a lot of people, even if you animated it the same way. I almost closed it after the first 30 seconds because of them, but I'm glad I didn't.
I think my favorite part was the intro with the song. That was really really great, you have good timing in both the comedic sense and animation sense.
I know you think you're done making cartoons, but I don't believe you. So when you do come back, seriously, spend some time updating your character graphics. You're writing ability deserves it.
Deserves it or not, I haven't changed my animating "style" since I started. It's worked out fine for me so far and I ain't about to start changing now.
