Thank you NG!

I know it sounds kinda lame and corny, but it's such an honor to get monthly 1st! It's the sort of thing you hope for, but you don't feel like will actually happen (kind of like my whole career as a game designer has been). This site, and flash culture as a whole, has given me such a great opportunity to do what I've always wanted to do, and at the end of day that's worth more than anything to me.

I want to thank you guys for the outpouring of reviews and comments too. There's really nothing like the flash portal for a student of game design, you guys are fair and honest and I feel like every game I make I get closer to my goal of making something really fun for the broadest possible audience. I understand that there were people who didn't like William and Sly, and your comments helped the most. I still feel like I'm in the growing process, but I also feel like I've learned more making this game than I have on anything else I've made. I'm going into my next big project equipped with that, so hopefully I'll make less mistakes this time around.

I've seen most of the transformations. I also recall when you were trying to decide between vector art and photoshopped art.

That game was really fun, I love artistic games like that. It ran really smoothly and was just fun to mess around with.

The only thing about the game I didn't like was that if you didn't get to the blobs in time, there was no way for you to get them again. The rest of the game had no real consequences to failure (which is really good; I love games that pull that off), and that was the only real thing.

I'd love for more of the same kind of games. Exploration, and no-punishment-for-failure are really cool aspects of games that aren't often seen.

I never did figure out how to turn off the rain though...

Dont try to make something fun for the broadest possible audience. TV already does that for you :) . Keep up the original stuff.

I love William and Sly, right up to the end... when all of a sudden it switched from a light, fun little puzzle game into something hardcore that I haven't got a hope of dealiing with... even after reading the cheats. Us old folks just don't have that kind of hand-eye coordination any more.

Have you noticed that when you fly over one of the bridges there's this burst of blue particles just *before* you land on the bridge itself?

Lol, no, but that makes sense. The particles are made when Sly completes a hittest on the tiles above the bridge.

While I'm waiting for the William and Sly Construction Set I've been trying to get those last two monsters. But I think I've been playing too much, because now when I miss a jump and little Sly bumps his nose against the rocks I feel guilty.

To while away the time waiting for the next William and Sly game (hint hint) I decided to see if I could get all the way to the end without catching a single fairyfly. It's not easy. But I almost made it.... and there was a fairyfly right in the middle of the tunnel to the storage room! No way around!
