New 3D William and Sly game coming this fall!

Posted by Kajenx - June 6th, 2023

Hey guys! It's been a long haul but I've finally finished the big William and Sly game I've been working on for the last...eight years now?! Damn. I miss the browser game era where you could make a game in 3 months. TBH, I might go back to smaller games after this, but it does feel good to finish such an epic project.

In the next couple of weeks I'm going to release some trailers, which I can actually upload to Newgrounds! I still haven't uploaded anything this year. I might also release the music on here after the game sales die down a bit, but I'm planning to put the album for sale on bandcamp. I'm also putting a merch shop together. I figure might as well go full capitalism and throw the entire pot of spaghetti at the wall, right?

Anyway, if you have a steam account, adding William and Sly to your wishlist will help a lot with the algorithm!

Looks pretty! The original had such a fun sense of exploration, will be cool to see it as an open world in 3D!

It translates to 3D pretty well! I was actually going to ask you if you wanted to beta test. Also, if you had any advice for releasing a "big boy" game like this, lol. I'm planning to make some trailers and put it on steam, but other than that I'm not sure. Maybe send beta keys out to gaming news sites?

@Kajenx Sending out beta keys is probably a good idea. Have you set up a website and press kit for it? That's something I still need to do for Nightmare Cops but a press kit could be handy for anyone who wants hi-res assets to work with.

Good ideas. Thanks. :)

I always enjoyed the freedom and atmosphere that the W&S series provided through it it's open level design and strong aesthetic presentation, so seeing a new continuation has me interested to relive those nostalgic memories.

You even have "fox" in your name!
