I've been trying to make an animation for such a long time and I always end up quitting fairly quickly because I just hate drawing on the computer. So, I'm gonna give the ol' pencil and paper a try. I have no trouble drawing for hours in my sketchbook without complaint...
Can anyone recommend a good setup for a light table or a light pad? I'm thinking I might as well get something small that I can set on my lap and use on the couch, but maybe this has some unforeseen consequences I'm not considering? What do you guys use (if anyone actually does paper animation, lol...).

I'm not super into traditional art myself but at my old highschool we had a home-made lightbox that worked super well, it was just some cut plywood with a frosted acrylic panel and an LED light bar underneath. took like an hour to put together from what was about 50 bucks worth of material at the time
