I wrote a book! (William and Sly)

Posted by Kajenx - 3 days ago

Hello Newgrounds, it's been a while!

So, I've had this book on my hard drive for thirteen years, and I've finally finished it! You can snag a copy of it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1689792809

I'm also going to post a new chapter every Wednesday on Wattpad so you can read it for free if you're patient: https://www.wattpad.com/story/202822365-secret-places-and-hidden-things

Too bad Newgrounds doesn't have a writing portal! (hint hint, lol)

The book is pretty strange and surreal, but it has William and Sly in it as well as some of the characters from The Everloom. If you've liked my games, you'll probably like the book! (At least, I hope so...)

If you buy it and read it, send me some feedback! It's been hard to get any from my friends, and I'd love to know what to do better next time. If this sells some copies I might try to become a writer. :)

Very ambitious! I've been thinking about writing a lot lately, but afraid of dumping myself into such a huge undertaking and it going unappreciated...

Yeah, I dunno if this will go anywhere or anyone will read it, but it's fun to be finishing a project. I haven't finished anything for a loooong time. :/

Would I do it again? Sure. It's not so hard to write a book, honestly. I'd say it's about the same amount of time it would take to make a big flash game. Writing is harder to do for hours at a time, though, so you just have to be consistent about it...or take 10 years to finish, lol.

I've always found the world in William and Sly to be fascinating. Hearing that it's crossed with The Everloom has me even more interested. I look forward to seeing how the two series intersect and get a glimpse of the creative inspiration that's in your mind.
