Interesting...

The game mechanic in this is really cool! I didn't love the way the platforming was also integrated into the mouse clicks, though. I think a separate button like space would have been better for the jumping. I can see where there's a conflict since the character jumps automatically to hit enemies, and it worked alright so I guess it wasn't too big a deal. Maybe if the jumps weren't so floaty it would have felt more solid.

Overall, it was pretty grindy, and I felt like the leveling up didn't do much. I used "power" and was fully leveled about halfway through. There wasn't much of a story, and the graphics were just okay to me: it was somewhat difficult to navigate because I had no idea where the ground was, and the characters were over-detailed for their size. Also, the screaming sound effect was really annoying.

Honestly, the game design was just mediocre at best, but the mechanic was so fun to tool around with it really didn't matter; I still had a lot of fun.

Cool idea!

The idea is really cool and well implemented. The control scheme on slopes makes some levels really frustrating, but overall it was fun.

Lol

I kept thinking monkey island as I was playing through, even before I read your comments! This is a really great game, nice work. Perfect length too.

A game about falling...

I've gotta say, I'm royally sick of "arty" games that look like MS Paint took a dump, but at least this game was genuinely fun. Most of them aren't. I'm also a big platformer fan, so it was fun to play one like this. It was surprisingly different.

In the beginning I felt really lost and my exploration fetish kept telling me, "Oh you missed a spot over there! Oh, but you didn't explore all the rooms yet!" Eventually it just shut up and I was wandering around with no idea where I was going, but little sound cues and blocked areas made me feel like I was progressing.

I think I also liked the game because it was so nerdy. ;)

What a shitty game.

I agree with you, so I'm going to do my part and help lower your score as significantly as possible.

LOL

This game was pretty funny. I played it quite a few times through. I think it shows how much a story can carry a game, even when the content might get stale quickly.

Hrm...

It seemed pretty cool when I started playing, but I couldn't figure out how to dodge around the first boss and defeated him on a fluke when he pinned me next to the blue wall thingamabob, and then after that the level of difficulty ramped up to the point where I wasn't having much fun so I stopped. It was fun for a while though. It seemed under-rated so I gave you a 5 to boost the score.

...what?

I'm not sure what the buzz is about, I thought this game was terrible. It's got a really clunky and poorly designed interface, the graphics are just taken from the pokemon games, and the game play is dull at best.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but I'm honestly surprised. There must just be a lot of pokemon fans on NG.

Kinda cool! :)

This was actually pretty fun! I played all the way through, and I found myself switching weapons pretty often, which I don't tend to do in these types of games. It wasn't too hard, so I didn't die, but it still felt like a challenge with the big swarms chasing after you. :D

So Huge... O_O

This game is immense (my finger's hurt, lol)! It was fun for a while but I dunno if I'll keep playing. I might come back to it later when I want some platforming fun.

The level design was pretty good, but sometimes it felt blocky, and that grated on me a bit. I don't really think estimating a jump wrong with the type of controls you have in this is really worth penalizing. Thankfully there wasn't too much of that... The controls were adequate, but they were also blocky and a bit slippery so it wasn't as fun as it might have been.

Still, one of the best plaformers in flash, really, and the amount of content is pretty huge. It took me an hour just to get through stage one and I have no idea how many stages there are...
